Yemen, officially the Republic of Yemen, is a country located in Western Asia on the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the north and Oman to the east, with coastlines along the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea.

Yemen covers an area of approximately 527,968 square kilometres and has a population of around 34 million people as of 2025–2026. The country has a rich cultural and historical heritage but has been significantly affected by ongoing conflict and humanitarian challenges.
